Abu Dhabi: The legal experts in the UAE are reporting that cybercrime is a criminal offense under the cyber law. If any person’s information about personal life is transmitted through social media or other online means, it will receive fine for up to five lakh dirhams (more than one crore rupees) and imprisonment for up to six months. The minimum penalty for such offenses is Dhs 1.5 lakh. Even if the truth about the individual or family life is true, the transmitted without permission can lead to punishment.
